The more than 20km of coastline of Roquetas de Mar and the cliff of Almería (Sierra de Gádor) have enormous biodiversity under their waters. We can observe both in the extensive meadows of Posidonia oceanica (a vital marine plant for the health of the Mediterranean Sea)at the Artificial Reef and along the Cliffs of the Sierra de Gádor that runs from Aguadulce to Almería.
At the cliffs, we find ten dive sites between 2 and 17 meters deep suitable for initiation activities or for certified divers. These sites offer three ecosystems: Posidonia meadows, sand bottoms, landslides, and massive rock formations full of Mediterranean fauna and flora.
